Youth are active in the First Church community and inspire the rest of the congregation to recognize our “God moments” and to live our faith in the world. Community building, service, and fun are the hallmarks of our youth ministry program, and there are lots of ways for young persons to connect with the program and each other.

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in youth fellowship groups:
Journey for high school students meets weekly on Wednesdays throughout the year for supper and conversation, devotion time, and play.
R & R Youth Fellowship (a.k.a. Rest Stops and Road Trips) for youth in grades 7-12 meets the first, third, and fifth Sundays each month for play, devotions, snacks, and service projects. The group alternates between meeting at the church and offsite.
Friday Night Live is our middle school youth group that meets monthly for games, devotions, and community building.
Retreats are another hallmark of the youth ministry program at First Church with typically three weekend retreats each year.
High School Fall Retreat includes a service project, community building, singing and devotions.
Confirmation Retreat for 7th and 8th graders participating in our confirmation process focuses on team building and having fun.
Winter Retreat is for all youth in grades 7-12 and includes skiing, tubing, other winter fun, devotions, and singing.
